Elvis recorded “Your Cheatin’ Heart” at Radio Recorders in Hollywood; February 1958 during a break from his U.S. Army service.

During the recording sessions, take 10 was initially not selected as the master take. The session logs originally marked it as “no master,” indicating uncertainty about its suitability.

However, both takes 9 and 10 were later designated as master takes in the recording sessions records.

“Your Cheatin’ Heart” was eventually released on Elvis’ 1965 album and tape, Elvis for Everyone!
